ScotPEN Annual Gathering 2020

It has been a challenging year so far, and many aspects of our lives have moved on-line. This year's annual gathering has too. We have an exciting programme of on-line activities for you to help you to consider the opportunities and limitation of engaging on-line.

By moving our gathering online we have tried to make the most of this new way of working. We hope more of you will be able to join us as travel is not a barrier. We have spread our programme out throughout the month to avoid too much on screen time all at once and also to allow you to fit it around your current commitments. The welcome and panel sessions will be recorded in case you can't make the live timings, and we have repeated the workshops at different days of the weeks and times of the day.

Not meeting face to face means we miss out on the unexpected useful encounters that make for good networking. Our solution is to have peer networking sessions. If you sign up we will match you (somewhat randomly) with one or two other delgates to meet on-line over a coffee. We have also got a fun science cocktail based social event planned at the end, and there will be breakout rooms to encourage more interaction.
